Today I want to tell you about a charming Hindi movie which is available on the internet for free. Sanam Teri Kasam is a famous Hindi film that was released in the year 1984 and stars Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar and Saeed Jaffrey. It won great acclaim from critics and it has been described as being a charming love story which combines both comedy and drama. The movie revolves around a rich man named Virendra Mitalwala who wants nothing but peace in his life after the tragic death of his wife Matisyahu, who died while giving birth to her last son. What he doesn’t know is that he has his good fortune somewhere to thank for finding himself in this position.
After the death of his wife, Virendra Mitalwala found it hard to move on with his life and ended up marrying her sister, who was also named Matisyahu. One day she also mysteriously dies after falling down the stairs, which left Virendra Mitalwala devastated. It was at this point that the movie got really interesting because it drew its inspiration from another movie called Yosomono no Namida which starred legendary Japanese actress Setsuko Hara. The Mitalwala family doctor then suggests that he should remarry so that he can have a second chance at happiness.
The doctor reveals that Virendra Mitalwala has the good fortune of having a son named Sanam, who will marry a singer who goes by the name of Muskan. There is only one problem with this marriage, because Sanam’s wife will die, like all of Mitalwala’s wives before her. It was at this point that he started to really look at his son in a different light. He soon realized that Sanam was well aware of this fact and managed to convince him to marry Muskan anyway so that he could keep her alive for as long as possible.
Mitalwala was touched by the love Sanam showed his mother while she was alive. As a result he decided to do whatever it took to please his son and so he decides to marry someone else. However the new wife is named Muskan, which happens to be the same name as Sanam’s wife, so Mitalwala decides to just keep changing his name every time he marries someone. He ends up marrying three other women on top of Muskan, but due to some medical complications that are shown in this film, none of his wives are able to enjoy life after they are married for very long.
The movie ends with Virendra Mitalwala laying motionless on the hospital bed, but it is soon revealed that he is actually still alive and has been transported to another world. It was at this point that Sanam Teri Kasam takes a sharp turn into comedy as Sanam comes back to the hospital room to see his father lying on the hospital bed. He then reveals that he had made a deal with God about his life after he understood his importance in the universe.
